Troedio Clwyd

Walkabout Flintshire has recently joined with Denbighshire Walking to form a new organisation called Troedio Walks Clwyd. Troedio Clwyd Walks is jointly funded by Denbighsire and Flintshire County Councils and is led by Katrina Day who is a Walking Development professional.

Their aim is to improve the physical, mental and social well-being of walkers by providing a safe and friendly way to enjoy the countryside.  All the walks are free and led by trained volunteers.

Their website lists the weekly and monthly walks plus downloadable walks aimed at families - see Mini Mountain Challenges.

There are currently about 22 weekly walks and between 8-15 extra walks every month in Flintshire with many walks suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. There are many beautiful country parks, beauty spots and historical areas in Flintshire/Denbighshire  that make walking more enjoyable. Regular walks have been taking place in Flintshire since 2003 under the name of Walkabout Flintshire.

Additionally, the walks provided by Community Walks in Broughton and Bretton, Hawarden and Shotton are included on this web site. The contact for more details about Community Walks is Colin Herbert on 01244 534637
