I was walking in Cefni woods after my Shaping the Future meeting. Everywhere the oak trees were coming out of bud, while the Ash trees still seemed dormant.
I recalled the old saying “Oak before Ash, we’re in for a splash (wet weather)” Are we in for some more wet weather? The weather forecasters seem to agree. However, back at the office Simon recalled that he had heard the tale differently “Ash before Oak and we’re in for a soak” So, either way it’s going to be wet - banned or not, you won’t even need a hosepipe!
