“If you can’t relax here then you are a lost cause”

One of the advantages of this job is getting to see places that you wouldn’t normally be able to afford. The Tre Ysgawen Hotel is one such place. And what a place it is. Built in 1882 as a grand country house, it sits in glorious gardens way off the beaten track and has the best spa facilities in North Wales. It has a reputation for fine dining. One customer wrote that “If you can’t relax here then you are a lost cause.”

You may have seen the hotel rooftop from the B5111 road that runs from Llangefni towards Llanerchymedd. The surrounding fields and woodland are superb. In case you would like to arrive in your helicopter the hotel helpfully offers the exact co-ordinates for you to pass on to the pilot N5318.21 W00419.71

The bluebell woods are a delight to walk through.
There are many walking routes through the woods-all marked out and gravelled.

A tasteful sculpture in the grounds caught my eye.
There are seats around the grounds and interesting specimen plants and trees.

The hotel has its own walled garden for flowers and for vegetables which helps to explain the high quality of the cuisine.

  1. What a lovely looking hotel! Could there be a link to the hotel's website? How much is a room for a weekend / day / hour? Do they provide spare pillows?
