Wildlife Photography Weekend with Naturebites – 31st May/1st June 2014.

Join Naturebites for a fun and interactive two day foundation course covering numerous aspects of photography with a focus on wildlife techniques.  The course includes a day’s organised tour of Anglesey’s wildlife hotspots giving you an invaluable opportunity to try out your new skills with an experienced team.

Over the course of the weekend (working around the weather) we’ll cover these activities:

Tutorials provided by Castle Vision Photographic: A brief history of art, wildlife art, the invention of the camera and the switch to the digital age. A discussion about perspective, composition, design and techniques. Camera & lens basics, design and controls. The pros. and cons. of various types of modern cameras and lenses. A discussion about megapixels, sensor sizes, aperture, shutter speeds, ISO performances etc.
A trip to a local bird of prey rescue centre to practice depth of field techniques.
Session on the Glan Morfa reserve to practice your wildlife techniques and gain confidence with your camera.
Photography-specific wildlife tours on Anglesey from Naturebites (both Ken & Kathy). We give you a chauffeured day out searching for wildlife on the island with the chance to put your new photography skills into practice (this section will equate to a Naturebites full day tour, although this may be spread between the two days). Help and advice will be freely available from your photography tutor Laurence as well as wildlife expertise from Ken and Kathy.

Price for the 2 day course will be £150 per person.

Please contact Kathy on 07790431078 or email Kathy@naturebites.co.uk

Accommodation: Self-catered accommodation is available on the course site at Glan Morfa on Anglesey. There are B&B’s and other cottages in the local vicinity too. Just let us know if you would like to us to arrange this for you in advance either as an individual, couple or as a group booking.

THANK YOU!

“It will give you a greater understanding of your camera and how to take photographs rather than snaps, all within an informal atmosphere. Everyone was very generous with their wealth of experience ” – Tony, Anglesey

” Ken, Kathy & Laurence were all very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I had a great time outside, and got to see lots of nice birds and places I wouldn’t have seen unless I joined the course. I liked the combination of the 3 “teachers”, all very different, but very enthusiastic about their work.” – Nina, Norway

” A great way of seeing the wildlife Anglesey has on offer with a personal guide and photographer to hand. We were very well looked after and the course offered great value for money.” – Kara, Worcester

“Just go! You will definitely like it!” – Pat, Anglesey
