Is this the Middle of Nowhere?

The very upper reaches of the Conwy valley stretch to a lake Craig Goch which can be reached from the B4407.

This is a desolate wilderness area with many bogs and rough grassland and heather. It is largely owned by the National Trust but it is hard to walk and there are few established walking paths. However, there is a great lane (rarely driven) that links the B4407 with the Penmachno Valley and this is a treat to walk with far reaching views and the spectacle of Llŷn Conwy. It takes in some thick woodland as the path drops down to Carrog. You will have the landscape to yourself and that’s not bad on a planet that contains 7 billion people!
